…A dedication to love. Happy February!
I’m not a big Valentine’s Day person. A card and an excuse for candy and flowers are always nice. But I never understood the big teddy bears and balloons, that kind of stuff. What do you do with it after February 14th? I mean really? I prefer the random acts of kindness, showing love to one another every day of the year. However, there is one very good reason that I hold Valentine’s Day special, that is because it is the day my amazing husband proposed to me 25 years ago. In 1987 we were having dinner at Red Lobster {in 1987 when we were 18 & 20 with not a lot of worldly experience, Red Lobster was a BIG deal} my very handsome guy asked me so sweetly if I would marry him. Without hesitation, I said yes. Everyday I am grateful for this decision. I married my best friend and have been enjoying Valentine’s Day and the other 364 days of the year ever since.
I have to confess though, for the first time ever I’m having thoughts of Valentine’s decorations, hearts and stuff. Not sure what is going on, maybe I’m getting a little more sentimental in my older albeit wiser age. Or maybe I’m thinking of the fantastic photo opportunities Valentine’s decorations & celebrations could provide… hmm. What are my motives?
Regardless of my Valentine’s Day motives, the undeniable truth is,
I love this man and thankful each and everyday for the love he shows me.

Love & kindness,
Kim
